Recession to Secession

Oh good grief I'm going to have to move ....
---------------------------------------------------
If you dismissed Glenn Beck's argument for seceding from the Union as the isolated ravings of a lunatic, think again.
In this video, Texas Governor Rick Perry wades into General Beck’s loony bin and declares Texas' sovereignty from the U.S, saying that the time has come to "draw the line in the sand" against the federal government. "No longer are we going to accept their oppressive hand in the state of Texas."

Texas Legislature & Science

Texas will fall even further behind other states in capturing bio tech jobs as well as progress in the fight against current incurable diseases if Sen. Steve Ogden, R-Bryan has his way. He has significant moral concerns when it comes to individual stem cells, but like most conservatives appears devoid of compassion when it comes to the suffering that millions of people, minute by minute, day by day, year after year must continue to endure.

Passed medical advances have met with similar resistance by self righteous nay sayers permanently opposed to anything that did not fit in their view of reality as dictated by their personal religious beliefs. Faith is and should always be a private matter not public policy or a substitute for scientific research.

Medical research or any scientific discoveries continue to draw vehement often violent opposition as serious as the plight of Copernicus & the persecution of Galileo.

The Dallas Morning News published an article on April 11, 2009 on the fight in the Texas Legislature stem cell legislation in Texas. Read it here and please get involved in stopping this attack on scientific research & embryonic stem cell research in particular. For more info on the promise of stem cells read & join Texans for the Advance for Medical Research or TAMR.

Please call or send an email message to your State Representative & Senator today.
