TELL ALL YOU KNOW! RALPH HALL’S GOTTA GO!
In February, 2007, the proposed draft of a new law to structure Iraq’s oil industry was leaked, and it is now being considered by the Iraqi parliament. Several key features of the law would:· The law would secure the agenda of ExxonMobil, Chevron, and the other majors, robbing the Iraqi people of their most basic source of wealth & allowing two-thirds of Iraq’s oil fields to be developed by private oil corporations. In contrast, the oil industry has been nationalized in every other major Middle Eastern producer for over 30 years.· Place governing decisions over oil in a new body known as the Iraqi Federal Oil and Gas Council, which may include foreign oil companies;· Open the door for foreign oil companies to lock up decades-long deals now, when the Iraqi government is at its weakest.· Iraq has 115 billion barrels of proven reserves ($9.2 trillion worth at $100+ today’s price per barrel) and another 215 billion possible or likely ($17.2 trillion), there’s a million dollars of oil revenues for every Iraqi citizen .It’s a vast and precious national resource—but only if Iraqis are allowed to control it themselves.Ralph Hall, Republican, Texas’s 4th Congressional District supports Bush and Cheney’s theft of oil that belongs to the Iraq people. In fact, Hall proposes we should "flatten Baghdad to show them they've been whipped". He admitted that “The War on Terror involves keeping the bad guy from having his foot on half the oil reserves in that most populated area,” Hall said. “For that reason I think you could glean that this is a war for energy.” When interview by a local Sherman, Texas TV station in 2006 he was asked about his support of big oil companies, Hall said “I’m not in big oils pocket but, I am by their side.” Hall made the statement “Oil is one thing that the lack of it causes war” and he predicted that because the Democrats in congress opposed drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge it is “going to cause our grandchildren to go to war”. On the idea of less dependence on fossilized fuel Hall bemoaned "the pure venom felt against the oil and gas industry. Hall supports policies that allow the big five oil conglomerates enjoying record profits, while they spend only one half of one percent of their profit on investments in clean alternative energy solutions. Why would they? Bush, Cheney, Hall and their ilk will steal the oil for them. Blood for oil is OK with Ralph. He shows no empathy for the tens of thousands innocent men, women and children in Iraq who have and will be killed, injured and displaced by this policy. No more blood bath! No more tragic loss of Americas finest, now almost 4,000 dead and tens of thousand seriously wounded. No more perpetual war. No more destruction of our armed services for the sake of money. These so called “Godly men” to quote Mr. Hall do not adhere to the Golden Rule much less God’s Commandments # 6, #8, #9, and #10. If you have forgotten them, click here>http://www.biblepicturegallery.com/free/Pics/10_Comm.gif & here> http://www.religioustolerance.org/reciproc.htm .No more corporate welfare, tax abatement's, cronyism, greed, fraud, theft, and murder of the innocent.
